A rope walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender looks at him and says, "Sorry son, we don't serve ropes in this bar."

The rope gets a bit annoyed, but heads down the street to another bar. This time when he asks for a beer the bartender looks at him and says, "We don't serve ropes here, move along."

The rope is getting frazzled and frayed by this, but decides to persevere. He enters a third bar, walks up to the bartender and orders a beer. The bartender takes one look at him and says, "Ropes don't get served here."

By now the rope is getting really angry and is all twisted up in knots but he decides to try one more bar. He walks in, sits down at the bar and orders a beer. The bartender takes a long look at him and says, "You're a rope, aren't you?"

The rope says, "No, I'm afraid not."
